Our company implements greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory management to accurately understand our emissions through the inventory process and results. This enables us to effectively monitor and control GHG emissions and enhances the efficiency of subsequent reduction actions. We are committed to long-term efforts in reducing GHG emissions, contributing to the mitigation of global warming, and fulfilling our responsibilities as a member of the global community.
Our GHG management strategies include:
1. Conducting GHG inventory and reporting in compliance with government environmental policies.
2. Replacing heavy fuel oil with cleaner alternatives such as natural gas.
3. Recovering and reusing process heat sources.
4. Installing solar energy systems.
5. Designing factory lighting systems to use natural lighting instead of electricity.
The company has implemented energy-saving measures for many years. Although statistical data does not show a significant downward trend in GHG emissions, we have started to switch to cleaner fuels and adopt energy-efficient equipment to reduce emissions. The goal is to achieve a 1% annual reduction in emissions compared to the previous year.
1. Adjustments to production processes.
2. Implementation of energy-saving measures within the factory.
3. Substitution and management of lighting systems.
4. Replacement of outdated motors.
5. Switching to alternative fuels.
In addition to conducting ISO 14064 verification and aiming to reduce GHG emissions, Guantian Steel Co., Ltd. designs new factory buildings with natural lighting, high-efficiency or LED lighting to reduce daytime electricity consumption. Outdated motors are replaced with high-efficiency models to save energy. In production, processes are optimized to reduce waste. In terms of fuel usage, optimal air-fuel ratios are maintained and heat recovery is reused to achieve green manufacturing.
